The following article from Playgirl Magazine is important for this blog on Straight Guise to understand that many women are attracted and aroused by two men engaging in sex with one another. I talked about it in an earlier posting about women who love to watch gay male porn.

Here’s an excellent article I found in the online and hard copy
December Issue of Playgirl:
I’LL NEVER FORGET THE FIRST TIME I RENTED gay porn. Pacing outside the campus video store, I was too scared to go in. I eventually built up my courage, made a dash for it, and quickly grabbed the first porno I saw. I thought I was in the clear when I reached the front of the checkout line until I heard “Oh hey, Clark!” from down the aisle. Fuck, I’d been caught red-handed— by two sorority girls, no less. “What ya watchin’?” they asked, cheerfully inspecting my pick of Lukas In Love. Suddenly their faces brightened.
“Oh my God! Gay porn?” one asked. My only answer was silence. “We LOVE gay porn!” They exclaimed. “You have to bring it over and we’ll all watch!” Before I could digest what was happening, I was whisked back to Delta Gamma for some studious viewing. Surrounded by sisters in pajamas, bowls of popcorn and posters of Justin Timberlake, they dimmed the lights with giggles of anticipation.
“I love Lukas Rigeston!” A blonde girl cried out as the credits rolled. “Shut up, Ion Davidov has a way bigger cock!” another one said. I had no idea who these porn stars were, but as soon as the bad dialogue subsided and anal penetration commenced, the room got eerily silent. The girls weren’t just watching this for a cheap laugh… they were getting off on it.
Heterosexual men notoriously love lesbian porn. Likewise, there is a small but substantial niche of women in America who watch gay guys do it. But we’re not talking women who casually entertain soft-core, voyeuristic fantasies; we’re talking women who actively rent videos, and subscribe to websites featuring hardcore, male-on-male action. “I don’t know any straight girls that don’t like gay porn,” says Rebecca Kraus, a San Francisco acupuncturist. “I especially like to watch older guys fuck younger guys,” she adds, “That’s what I think about when I masturbate.” But how can that be? Shouldn’t male-onmale action be exclusive to men? And isn’t gay male porn marketed to, well, gay guys? Where does this social phenomenon stem from?
While at home for the holidays, I dug around in the attic for my old psychology text books. Dusting them off, I came across Sigmund Freud’s theories of psychosexual development. There’s the “oral” stage, then the “anal” stage…wait, someone should rename this “The Different Stages of Gay Porn.” Frustrated, I kept flipping in search of “penis envy.” According to Freud, young girls around the age of four notice their difference in genitalia from men. In a subconscious effort to gain the love of their fathers, they sit around wishing they had a dick.
“Oh please,” says Leslie Friebert, a feisty New York publicist. “In straight porn the man consists of a penis and occasional dirty word spoken off screen. There’s no envy in that. I like seeing men be vulnerable.” Her friend Kate agrees, “There’s something so hot in objectifying the man.” Now there’s a switch! Freud’s theory has been widely criticized by feminists, of course, because women would never want their identity to be summed up as envious of men. But does the female viewing of homosexual, male sex neutralize this criticism, thus feminizing penis envy?
With an aching brain, I decided to jettison the archaic, clichéd views of sexual academia and find someone with contemporary experience: Chi Chi La Rue. Sometimes in drag, sometimes not, this über-famous porn director is prolific in both the straight and gay porn scenes. On Wednesday nights she can be found spinning at her Los Angeles night club Dirty Deeds, where I stalked her for an answer. “It’s simply having more of a good thing on screen, honey” she said, her lipstick glistening in the light. “And since it’s men, it’s nastier and dirtier. It’s the most animalistic and testosterone-filled as you’re gonna get.” As she spoke to me, I looked out over the crowd and noticed that her strip club was populated by a healthy crowd of women. It got me to thinking, is straight womens’ affinity for gay porn an affinity to gay culture in general?
Gay bars are constantly packed with fag hag tagalongs who are uniquely promiscuous without being labeled sluts. Could women be as horny as their testosterone- charged counterparts? “I want what I can’t have,” confesses Rebecca Kraus. “Gay men are everything you could want in straight men, so watching them screw is the ultimate expression of that.” Although this subculture of women may be increasing, that doesn’t mean it’s for every woman. “Oh no, my friends think I’m weird,” says Leslie, “ and I have to admit, I didn’t like it until I watched it a couple of times. Gay porn grows on you.” “It’s not just straight girls,” continues Chi Chi. “I know straight guys who like to watch gay porn with their girlfriends. Hell, I’ve even heard of lesbian couples who watch guys. What can I say, everyone likes to watch dudes fuck!”
And there I was, destined to have my first gay porn experience surrounded by straight, horny, sorority girls. What would Freud have to say about that? He’d just be envious.

Great article !!! and very useful too.
I was concerned about my sexuality, Im a lesbian but I only like gay porn. I couldn't understand why and I believed it was something unusual.
Thanks to you, I feel normal again!
=)
I'm a 21 y/o f with a bf of 3 years and my ex roomate left one of his gay porno flick in his closet. I had never seen guy on guy so i put in the dvd player and was unexpectedly turned on. I think I really liked it bc they film the whole guy and not just his penis in a straight porn. I hate that straight porn is 99 percent for male viewing so its usually just the girl u see most of or a really ugly mature man with a hot chick. In the gay porno the expressions on their faces looked real. Gotta say its a turn on when a guy is feeling completely aroused. gay or straight? guess so (but im still never mentioning this to anyone)
!!
For me, the act of sucking a dick is very very degrading. I just like watching a man be degraded, for once.
Sorry but I DO NOT HAVE PENIS ENVY! I just enjoy watching two men go at it. I'm sick of porn with women in it who just fake it. Why watch them anyways,? I'm not interessed in them. Ha! And for Anonymous's comment. Sucking a mans dick IS NOT DEGRATING! It's a beautiful thing to make my man's eyes roll into the back of his head the same he does for me. Of course you wouldn't know anything about pleasing one anyways...of course.
seriously i was starting to worry about my sexuality because i love gay porn especially a trannt doing a man. i think because it objectifys men and women in porn seem so fake!!
I'm soo with the previous comment!!! I was so concerned about my sexuality and the fact I was in to gay porn although I'm a straight girl that I googled "can a straight girl be turned on by gay porn" and found this article. lol now I just feel kind of silly for feeling so alone and perverted. Thank you :) now I can fantasize without guilt ;)
Thanks mate... just dropped by. Will look for BIKE STN when we get to Seattle. Still in Buenos Airies.
I love gay porn because in straight porn its some ugly guy and some blonde chick and you only seee the guy like once the rest is the chick faking an orgasm in gay porn you see more hot guys and they look like the actually feel it! Im straight so i like seeing more of a guys body than a chicks boob!!
I have a boyfriend that likes to perform a blow job on another man while I'm sucking his dick and it does not bother me because my boyfriend was born
physically handicapped, but if my boyfriend was not born physically handicapped it would bother me.
This article made me feel so much better because I'm a straight girl & I love watching gay porn, now I've gotten my bf into it too. I don't want to penetrate him or anything but I love taking turns being dominant and vulnerable during our love-making and gay porn shows men doing just that
if i could push an
"I love this button", I would!
Thanks man.
thank you dude, this was a nice insight.you make me think and laugh! winning combo.
I am a guy I would love it if I didn't have to be anonymous but humanity is still not accepting enough that is looking for where he fits in between bisexual and the idea of binary gender and pansexual and the idea of continuous gender. I am fortunate that my girlfriend is accepting of my sexuality although I am no more allowed to have a boyfriend than I would be to have another girlfriend; monogamy is great but, at times, difficult.
Firstly, I would like to address a particular point regarding Freudian theory: Freud's theories are non scientific as they are not falsifiable. Theories provide a framework within which, what Kuhn termed ordinary science occurs and thus, must be falsifiable, internally consistent, and externally consistent with the rest of the body of scientific knowledge. Freud's theories served a very important purpose: they opened a door to the investigation of the psychological dimension as separate from the biophysical investigation of the brain. The ongoing use of these theories as a kind of whipping boy by all manner of postmodernists merely serves to highlight weak arguments; it is a straw man argument if there ever was one. Penis envy is a particularly absurd and pointless one: it is only the social environment in which men of the Michigan legislature can not say vagina or vulva whilst wasting tax payer dollars debating misogynistic and outdated ideas restricting reproductive health choices that ideas such as penis envy arise.
The works of Harry Stack Sullivan may well be far more useful as he himself was gay and lived at a time when intolerance was more than rampant and out of control, it was the expected behavior. Once, -and maybe still now- men lived half lives: unable to cry or show any strong emotion -other than anger- they were deprived of the rich palette of emotions that women experience; emotions that enrich their lives and that of those around them. One potential appeal of gay porn is that these men are able to express a full range of emotions. A full range, I might add, that I feel most women find desirable in the abstract but abhorrent in the fact. Bisexual men do not have an easier time finding women that love them. On the contrary, it is often a "deal breaker".
I would now like to address another particular point concerning male sexuality. Hitherto, the male body has been seen as less attractive and rougher in the manner that a lump of coal is to a diamond. A large percentage of women use terms such as junk when referring to the male genitalia and treat it -given current fashion- as something to be hidden. Further, do women feel that it makes a man feel great when you perform oral sex on us and immediately race for the toilet or the nearest tissue? I enjoy performing oral sex on both sorts of organs and I can safely say that it is not the flavor of ejaculate that is the problem.
I have written about this here, as a reply to this article, in the hopes that many women will read this and think about some things: Clothes for women tend to reveal and enhance the female form whilst clothing for men, particularly the current fashion derivative of African American urban culture serves to hide and minimize. I am in great shape for my age and once was in the kind of shape that the men in these movies exhibit; however, I am not a tall man. How would women feel if they had to bind their breasts until nothing could be seen and wear voluminous clothing -unlike Victorian era clothing- intended to hide the female form and made them appear far shorter than they were in actuality? What if instead of high heels, women had to wear unglamorous and indelicate footwear? Ultimately, what if men felt that performing oral sex on women was unmanly?
Some do you say? Judging by my friends, it is only the most religious (Jewish, in this case) that feel that the vulva is dirty and that performing oral sex on women is disgusting. Unscientific though it may be, most of the men I know, enjoy bringing their women to orgasm by oral stimulation and do not feel degraded by the act. Why would any woman feel degraded by giving pleasure to her man in a similar manner? Moreover, why should a man feel degraded for sharing such pleasure with another man?
One last thing: the postmodern, feminist view that a woman is objectified because her body is physically desirable is the result of poor research on the part of social scientists. The argument for objectification is easily defeated once one considers that the desire to know someone as a person begins, more often than not, when one notices some particular physical attribute or other (not necessarily shoulders, breast, or butt) such that one party enjoys the attention obtain by its exhibition and the other enjoys providing the desired attention. Thus, no one is being objectified if their intent is the result of their act. That is to say, if you have sex in front of a camera and you enjoyed doing so and you were not coerced into participating, you are not being objectified. Should any doubt remain, visit one of the adult entertainment conventions and observe the vast number of people -male and female- seeking to meet their favorite porn star and observe the interaction, listen to the conversation.
In summation, the pleasure of watching gay or bisexual porn -and I would like to challenge the women that read this article and this comment to watch bisexual porn; the women look like the women you'd see around town- is that the men exhibit a full range of emotions, they are attractive, masculine in appearance without the societal baggage implicit in the societal construct of masculinity. The sexual act is intense without being aggressive and not centered around one partner's or one gender's needs. The act is sensual as much as it is in lesbian porn but the duration of the average scene is noticeably shorter -these men are not concerned with unrealistic expectations of intercourse needing to last 30-40 minutes (that is intercourse, not foreplay) so as to satisfy a woman or with ejaculating unrealistic quantities for unrealistic distances as some sort of symbol of their masculinity. In short, they are the men, women would want to warm their bed if only there weren't so many rules!! Now, if we could stop thinking of the receptive partner as submissive and anal sex as dirty or painful, some real progress could be made.
One final point to the men reading this: One undeniable attraction of gay porn to women is so simple as to be obvious: these men take care of themselves! Their skin is not that of an alligator, they make a point of eating healthy and staying fit, but most of all, they are NOT a fat man saying to a woman, already overwhelmed by societal pressure and aging, that they are fat and need to be in the shape they were in college to be attractive.

Oops: forgot this: Ladies, if you want your man to watch gay or bisexual porn with you, ask yourself first how do you feel about two women enjoying themselves sexually. If you are unable to accept that act as beautiful at least, do not expect anything different from your man.
To the lady whose boyfriend is handicapped: so, you see him as less of a man because he is handicapped so it is acceptable for him to enjoy other men but not if he were not handicapped? I can only say that I am saddened by that attitude because it shows just how far humanity still has to go.
To the lady that has gotten her boyfriend to watch gay porn with her: Brava! Try bi too! Please, at least discuss the penetration. For the man, even a finger against the prostate can intensify the orgasm by orders of magnitude; imagine what the right strap on can do. For the women, I think the import of role reversal -aside from the intense emotions you WILL feel- is that the experience makes one fact undeniable: penetrating someone is hard work! I feel women become better and more understanding partners and enjoy sex more once they've had the experience. Although, you never have to worry about going a bit soft or damaging your penis from hitting the pubic bone by accident, I feel it is still an eye opening experience.
